What the college says

The BTEC is designed for students who wish to know how to start up a business or social enterprise. The qualification has been developed in partnership with the National Enterprise Academy (NEA), in consultation with entrepreneurs and business people and requires students to start up and run a fully functioning legal business to develop their entrepreneurial skills. It encourages students to focus on their own self development through the start-up process ensures that they interact with entrepreneurs and business people throughout the course so that they can learn from experienced professionals.

5 GCSEs at grade 4 and/or Maths and English Language at grade 4 or above.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
