The BTEC Computing course provides students with a solid foundation for understanding and applying this subject in their future working lives. It enables students to make the leap from passive consumers to active programmers of computerised systems. They will develop skills in a range of different types of software and work according to business and real-world related scenarios to produce evidence for coursework. They will also understand the theory of computer Science.

What you need to get on

In order to follow a vocational or mixed Level 3 programme of study you should have achieved five or more GCSE (or equivalent) Grade 5's and above, including English Language or Literature and Mathematics, although we will apply some flexibility where you can demonstrate aptitude and enthusiasm for this subject, yet you may not fully match our entry requirements. Those students without a 4 in English or mathematics, will take a level 2 qualification in these as part of their studies.
