Our BTEC Level 3 Civil Engineering Diploma is an engaging programme aimed at students who are looking for a challenging career in the Civil Engineering industry. This is a part-time course (one day a week) which runs for two years. The course is designed for students who are working in the Civil Engineering industry and are being released by their employer one day a week to study. The course contains two units which are externally assessed - Construction Principles and Construction Design. Additional units include Health and Safety in construction, Construction technology, Site Engineering for Construction, Further Mathematics for Construction and Construction in Civil Engineering. In addition, other optional units have been selected to meet the needs of employers. The course is delivered through a blend of lectures, seminars, tutorials, site visits, field trips and guest speakers. What you need to get on
For learners who have recently been in education the entry requirements are as follows:5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including maths, English and Science.
