Intended for enthusiastic and creative students with an interest in both recording and mixing, the music technology and production course explores the use of technology through creative approaches to audio, composition and wider digital media. Whilst studying music technology you will explore Acoustics, Recording and Sequencing Techniques and Live Sound through the of Pro Tools software. On taking this course you will be expected to take on the role of a sound technician during school performances and musicals as part of the requirements for the course. Students that study Music Technology are able to go onto a range of destinations after sixth form such as: study a BA/ BSc Honours degree in Creative Music Technology or participating in the UK Music’s Apprenticeships Scheme where students are offered a broad range of apprenticeships that fit with the music industry from studio apprenticeships, live events and promotion, music business and creative and digital media.
