The esports industry is a rapidly growing and developing industry, being projected to contribute over £180 million to the economy in 2024 and rapidly gaining mainstream appeal. This nexus of a variety of fields, such as event production, broadcasting and online content creation, provides a verdant job market that is growing year on year. At MidKent College, we are proud to be one of the few centres in the country providing this bespoke qualification, helping students gain the skills and experience for an exciting career in the esports industry and helping students stand out when applying for jobs in this high-growth sector. Our BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Esports is a 2 year programme aimed at providing the best possible skills and knowledge for the demands of the industry. The programme is entirely assessed on coursework with no internal examinations. By studying Esports at MidKent College, students will gain a variety of transferable skills and industry leading knowledge in tools that will allow them to excel in various roles within the industry, such as: Online Content Creation Broadcasting and Media Production Events Management Coaching and Skills Analysis Sport Science and Psychology The Level 3 Esports programme covers the following units: Year 1: Introduction to Esports Esports Skills, Strategies and Analysis
