This study programme will provide you with the skills, knowledge and confidence you need to either apply for higher education degree courses or step straight into work or an apprenticeship. What will I study? Your main programme will include topics such as, -Developing effective communication in health and social care. -Equality and Diversity -Rights in Health and Social Care -Health, Safety and Security in Health and Social Care -Development through the life stages. You will also have the opportunity to study a range of optional units including: -Anatomy and Physiology -Personal and Professional Development -Sociological perspectives on health -Values and Planning in Social Care -Caring for children and young people -Public Health -Science for Health. You'll learn in a range of different ways to keep you interested and challenged such as practical activities, trips and visits, giving presentations, assignments, project work and hearing from guest speakers. You'll receive an individual learning plan with objectives that will challenge and stretch you to help you reach your full potential. You'll set your own targets too during tutorial sessions and have the chance to get involved in fundraising and entrepreneurial projects.
