What is it? This course is designed for students who wish to explore and develop their practical skills, creativity and technicality. It provides a breadth of experience across a variety of dance styles including contemporary, jazz, pop dance, tap and ballet. BTEC Dance is a practical and vocational course, and can be taken alongside Musical Theatre and Performing Arts. Why study this course at Blackpool Sixth? You will have teachers who have trained at prestigious institutes and are highly experienced in both their craft and teaching and learning. You will use a professional dance studio and a state of the art theatre, which seats 300 people. Specific course entry requirements: Two years previous dance training in any style is essential. Willing and able to participate in four dance classes a week, with a desire to work hard and progress.

What you need to get on

As BTEC level 3 courses are advanced courses, we require five A*- C passes of 4 (C) grade or above (or equivalent) including English language or maths. Please see our website for any specific course requirements.
