The Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Music Performance provides a practical and theoretical exploration of the key skills and methods of music learning in a vocational context. Students will explore ensemble and solo performances, the core principles of music theory and in-depth insight and reflection on their skills and development as a musician. This course provides them an insight into the music industry and what it would be like to be a self-employed musician working within an ever-growing and competitive sector.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 4-9 GCSE's including Maths and English. Although not essential, having studied Level 2 Music Practice tech award would be advantageous. Musical instrument ability equivalent to grade 3 performance standard or higher is essential and an audition with the music team to showcase this.
