The BTEC Level 3 in Sport will give you the foundation to follow your dream. It may help you to become a sports coach, a sports scientist, a physiotherapist, a PE teacher or maybe a sports journalist. Be inspired and join us, a winning team at Sarum Academy. What will I study? Depending upon the route you choose, you will complete either 6 or 12 units over the course of two years, providing you with the equivalent to 2 or 3 A Levels. There are a certain number of mandatory units, whilst the optional units are chosen to provide you with the best opportunity to achieve at your highest level. Within this course pupils study a variety of units within different disciplines of the sports industry including areas such as coaching, performing, anatomy and physiology. Units covered include: sports anatomy, health and exercise, fitness training and testing, practical sport, health and safety in sport and leadership.

What you need to get on

Pupils require a grade 4 at GCSE PE or Pass at BTEC Sport or 5 GCSEs at grade 4.
