What the college says
Students will follow the Pearson specification for BTEC Level 3 National Certificate in Sport. This course is an introduction to the sport sector through applied learning that supports progression to higher education. Unit 1 is Anatomy and Physiology which explores the structure of the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, respiratory and energy systems as well as additional factors which affect sport and exercise performance. The Practical Unit (Unit 7) gives students the opportunity to improve knowledge and practical ability in a selection of individual and team sports with focus on the application of skills, techniques and tactics and reflecting on performance.
