BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diplomas in Health and Social Care provide the opportunity for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes, essential for successful performance in working life. The qualifications are equivalent to one, two and three A levels respectively. The students study: 4 units for the Extended Certificate 3 of which are mandatory and 2 external. 8 units for the Diploma 6 of which are mandatory and 3 external. 13 units for Extended Diploma 8 of which are mandatory and 4 external.
