What the college says
The Health and Social Care course provides students with a broad range of knowledge and experience to prepare them for careers within the sector and skills to progress on to relevant University courses. The course is available as both a single and double A Level equivalent course thus allowing for specialisation. It covers topics such as legislation, additional needs, ageing processes and care values. It helps to prepares students for university courses such as: nursing, social work, care work, community work, midwifery, counselling, play therapy, and teaching.
What you need to get on
Students must achieve a minimum of 6 GSCEs at Grade 4 or above English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4 or above. If studied, then a Grade 4 or Merit in a related qualification at Key stage 4.
