What the college says
You will study a wide range of units including; Biology, animal health and welfare, feeding, accommodation, animal handling and behaviour, conservation of British habitats and work experience. How will I be assessed You will complete written and practical work throughout the year. You will also complete online exams.Animal Management expects all students to wear a uniform. This is in the form of a unique coloured polo and sweat shirt. This is a mandatory requirement and can be obtained from a local supplier. All MidKent College students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a Work Placement of up to 350 hours in a role relevant to your study. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.

Achievement of an appropriate Level 1 Diploma or 4 GCSEs at grade 3 including English and Maths.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
