What the college says
A BTEC National Award is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. You focus on a particular subject area and develop a range of specialist skills and knowledge. It is equivalent to two A levels studied over 2 years which means when you have finished the course you can use it to get a job, or you can use it alongside other qualifications to go into Higher Education.
What you need to get on
You will need to have ideally at least a grade B (C grade considered) or above in a GCSE Design & Technology subject and recommended B grade or above in Physics and Grade 5 in Mathematics.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
