Career opportunities include work in the following fields: • Accountancy • Business Administration • Education • Human Resources • IT/Computing • Law • Management • Marketing • Public Relations • Retail The Business courses offered at Walsall Academy are designed to provide academic and vocational experiences. They will prepare students for their choice of career in both the world of work and Higher Education. Level 3 Extended Certificate (single) The BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate allows students to develop their understanding of business theory at the same time as developing employability skills. It is broadly equivalent to one GCE A Level. Students will complete the mandatory units along with an additional unit. Units of Study • Exploring Business (Internally assessed portfolio) • Developing a Marketing Campaign (Externally assessed supervised case study) • Personal and Business Finance (Externally assessed by exam) • Customer Service (Internally assessed portfolio)

4 GCSEs (Grades A* - C) or equivalent* Grade 4 in GCSE English and Mathematics Level 2 BTEC Buiness (including Level 2 finance exam) - Grade 4 if Business GCSE studied previously
