What the college says

The Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Body Massage is a qualification designed to teach you how to provide a relaxing and stress relieving body massage treatment. The course will prepare you for a career as a Swedish Massage Therapist, working in either a salon or spa environment, or as a self-employed/mobile therapist. You will learn practical skills in each unit, gain experience in client care and learn how to operate within health and safety guidelines and industry regulations. Students will work on fee paying clients quite quickly to ensure they develop good communication skills and offer outstanding client care.

What you need to get on

There are no formal qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this course, however, a good standard of English at GCSE grade A-C / 4-9 is preferred. If you are aged between 16-18 and do not already have English and Maths GCSEs (grade A-C /4-9) then you will be required to complete these alongside your course. Applicants should have good interpersonal and communication abilities, as they will be dealing with customers within the service industry.
