What the college says

In Biology you develop practical skills, by planning experiments, collecting data, analysing experimental results and making conclusions. You will also learn how scientific models are developed, the applications and implications of science, the benefits and risks that science brings and the ways in which society uses science to make decisions.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 passes at grade 5 or higher at GCSE, 3 of which must be a grade 6 or higher. Within these passes there must be a grade 5 or higher in English Language and Maths, and a 7 7 in Combined Science or 7 6 6 in Triple Science and a 6 in Maths.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
