A Level Biology is a challenging but rewarding subject for anybody fascinated by the natural world and keen to learn more about how it works. The course blends traditional areas such as biochemistry, cell structure, classification and physiology with more recent developments in genetics and biotechnology.
What you need to get on
7 GCSEs at grade 4 or above including: Grade 6 in Biology and one other science OR Grade 6/6 in Combined Science and Grade 6 in Mathematics.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
