What the college says
The OCR A2 Biology course builds on the understanding that the students have developed in the AS course. This year they have completed two modules. F214 examines fundamental biological processes such as Biochemistry, Homeostasis and excretion. This was taken in January and counts as 30% of the A2 grade. A further 50% comes from F215, which involves the study of some of the more modern aspects of Biology such as Genetics, Biotechnology, Ecosystems and Behaviour. The remaining 20% of each student's A2 grade comes from the practical unit.
