This Level 2 Technical Specialist Qualification is designed to provide the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to perform specialised roles within a specific occupational area. This qualification will enable you to build your knowledge of mental health in young children from birth to five years old and the role of the Early Years Practitioner in supporting their mental health and wellbeing. You will gain insight into the importance of mental health for the overall health and wellbeing of children in their early years. Additionally, you will learn about the crucial role of attachment in mental health and wellbeing during these formative years. The course will introduce relevant concepts from neuroscience and highlight the impact of adverse childhood experiences. By the end of the qualification, you will feel more confident in supporting early intervention for mental health and wellbeing in young children.
What you need to get on
Anyone 19+ who is working or volunteering in an early years setting for a minimum of 7 hours per week.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
