This one year course is a great first step towards a career in sports, exercise, fitness or the uniformed protective services. This course will help you to develop transferable skills, knowledge, literacy and numeracy before progressing onto a level 2 qualificaiton. English and maths are a mandatory part of the course and you will be required to study these at the appropriate level. These qualifications are designed to enhance your employment opportunities and support you to progress.

What you need to get on

This course is only available to 16-18 year olds. GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 2-9. If you are not studying a traditional GCSE programme, we accept alternative qualifications like Functional Skills and vocational courses.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
