Are you passionate about a hands-on career in plastering? Our beginner course is specifically designed for those who aspire to excel in this field. This course will provide you with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours necessary to progress into further study, apprenticeships, or full-time employment. Throughout the course, we will deliver a comprehensive blend of theory - what you need to know and practical - hands on sessions, to put into practice what you have learnt to ensure a well-rounded understanding of plastering. You'll have the chance to engage in extensive enrichment activities, including industry and community-based projects, and exciting trips and visits. The plastering industry offers a wide range of opportunities, working with various materials such as mortar, cement, and plasterboard finish plaster. There are also potential progression paths leading to senior roles such as site supervisor or construction manager. Thanks to our strong connections with local businesses, we provide valuable work-based projects that offer firsthand experience of industry expectations.
What you need to get on
GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 2-9. OR Completion of the Introduction to Construction (Foundation) - Entry Level 3 course. If you are not studying a traditional GCSE programme, we accept alternative qualifications like Functional Skills and vocational courses. If you are not planning on sitting GCSE exams, we can also support you with completing an English Language and Maths assessment.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
