This course is perfect if you are looking to pursue a career in specialist massage therapy. This includes job opportunities such as working in a day spa, on a cruise liner, or in a dedicated facility in a high-end hotel. This course provides a great foundation for a career in spa management or progression on to university. Beauty therapists work in close contact with clients from different age groups and backgrounds. Good social and interpersonal skills, discretion and respect for others are important characteristics. You will also need to have physical stamina as you are often on your feet all day.

What you need to get on

You’ll need to have completed a relevant Level 2 vocational qualification in a related field and have achieved English and Maths at grade 9–4 (A*–C) or Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths. Student who are 19+ learners and do not have evidence of English and maths qualifications will complete an initial assessment. Results will need to reflect a GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths.
