This course is an ideal starting point for those who would like a future career in the beauty industry. In this course you will study units which cover: * Anatomy & Physiology * Health and safety * Principles of practice for Beauty Therapists * Waxing - Hair Removal * Facial and skin analysis treatments * Manicure services * Pedicure services * Lash and brow treatments * Manual Tanning The timetable includes a mixture of both practical and theory lessons. Initially you practice the treatments on each other; this is important as a beauty therapist needs to know what the treatments feel like in order to have empathy with their clients.(This is a mandatory requirement.) You will then complete pre-observations and final assessments. All students will have the opportunity to work in our training Solutions salon in order to experience working on clients and to perfect their customer care skills. Solutions, is run as a fully functioning commercial salon offering a full range of professional consultations and treatments using top brands.. All of our tutors are highly qualified with excellent industry experience and all work hard to ensure our students benefit from this wealth of knowledge. What you need to get on

Achieve 4 GCSE's at grade 4 or above, including English Language, maths and preferably science.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
