This qualification will suit you if you are new to Beauty Therapy or have some knowledge and basic skills, probably from a role where you work under supervision, if you want to increase your skills, start your first job or take on more responsibilty. This qualification covers working in the beauty inductry and lets you pick and choose from lots of options from make up to massage. It is ideal if you are not sure what to specialise in, or if you need a broad overview, perhaps to manage a salon of your own.

Basic understanding of Literacy and Numeracy. Preffered level 1 qualification in beauty but not necessary

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
