This Level 3 beauty therapy course caters to both recent school-leavers and adults, offering a diverse set of specialist, technical practical skills and knowledge. The acquired skills not only prepare you for employment opportunities but also serve as a solid foundation for further study within the beauty and spa therapy industry. You will also have work-related learning opportunities, where you can further develop your skills, leading to many exciting career opportunities with employment options in leisure facilities, cruise liners, health spas, or as a self-employed therapist. If you are a school-leaver and did not achieve a grade 4 GCSE in English and maths, you will need to continue to study at either GCSE or Functional Skills level.
What you need to get on
You may have current and continued work experience in a beauty/nail salon, in which you can enrol onto the course upon a successful interview. You can also enrol if you have successfully completed a Level 2 technical diploma in relevant subject. Due to the externally set and externally marked exam, you will need to complete an initial assessment for Level 1 English, GCSE grade 3 or above in English language or Level 1 or above in Functional Skills.
