What the college says

If you are thinking about a career in construction but are unsure about which path to choose, our Basic Construction Multi-Skills course will give you a taste of what working in the industry is like - and you don't need to have any experience, just a willingness to have a go! The qualification offers you the opportunity to gain basic skills in brickwork, carpentry, plumbing and painting, get hands-on with industry-standard tools, and learn how to do a range of tasks such as how to lay bricks, fix a skirting board, hang an internal door, bend copper piping, or prepare and paint a wall. And, because a good standard of English and maths is so important when working in the construction industry, you'll get the chance to improve these skills as part of your course.
