If you enjoy meeting people and have a confident and outgoing personality, then studying hairdressing is an excellent choice. This Level 2 course will expand your practical and theoretical knowledge to include intermediate techniques, you will create highly professional looks and finishes. Working in the college’s fully equipped commercial salon, you will be provided with an excellent learning environment for hairdressing.
What you need to get on
A minimum of four GSCEs at grade 3, including English and maths or successful completion of a related Level 1 qualification and good progress with English and maths.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
