This qualification combines an introductory knowledge of drug and alcohol misuse with an understanding of the key principles and values that should underpin the support offered to people misusing substances and the United Kingdom’s response to substance misuse. Learners will gain understanding of how to recognise and respond to substance misuse, solvents and options/ interventions for those affected by substance misuse.
