What the college says
The Level 1 Photography Award is aimed at those who have an interest in photography and are looking to advance their basic skills to improve their finished images. Within the course, you will first look at developing your understanding of your camera, its settings and its many capabilities. You will then experiment with your image taking, looking at portrait and landscape photography as a starting point. You will achieve a Level 1 qualification in photography, which will allow you to progress to Level 2 courses in the future.
What you need to get on
There are no formal entry qualifications for the Photography Award. You must have the appropriate equipment, such as a Digital SLR.
How you are assessed
Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
