The Ascentis Level 1 Award in Infection Control and Prevention introduces learners to the principles of infection control and prevention in daily life. It considers the different causes of infection and how infection is spread. Learners will also be able to identify their responsibilities and that of others in controlling and preventing infection and gain a clear understanding of the importance of good personal hygiene.
