The Edexcel BTEC Level 1 and 2 Award in Home Cooking Skills has been developed to give students the opportunity to develop: The knowledge, understanding and confidence to cook meals at home, an understanding of how to economise when planning a meal, an ability to transfer skills learned to different recipes, an ability to inspire others by transferring that knowledge.

What you need to get on

Students should currently be working at Bradfields Steps 7S or above. Students should be prepared to do their own washing up.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
