The course is intended as a first step for people who are preparing to work with children, or towards a career in child development. The course is also valuable in helping parents support their own children to learn.
What you need to get on
Assessment is completed via portfolio of written course work. Learners will need to be able to attend at least 80% of the sessions to complete the portfolio and individual tutorials will be offered during the course. The course is taught in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with an experienced tutor, and there is opportunity to meet and socialise with others in the group in a friendly, relaxed environment.

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
