Often the first step to becoming an assessor, this qualification is open to people carrying out assessments and quality assurance in most learning environments including Further Education (FE), Adult Continuing Learning, Employers, and Third Sector. This course is designed for anyone assessing and carrying out quality assurance in all occupational sectors, accredited learning, non-accredited learning (e.g. where performance is being assessed by the learner who is not undertaking a qualification), and qualifications on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).

What you need to get on

Qualified (preferably one level above) in the subject you will be assessing Access to at least two candidates who you can plan and assess at least three units with GCSE grade 4-9 in English Language and Maths (or equivalent).

How you are assessed

Two-year technical qualification with a 45-day industry placement. Equivalent to three A levels.
