Studying Law will develop an understanding of the role of Law in today's society and raises your awareness of the rights and responsibilities of individuals in society. By learning about legal rules and how and why they apply to real life, students will also develop their analytical ability, decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. All these skills are highly sought after by higher education and employers whether or not you choose to pursue a legal career. We are particularly proud that many students (who have studied this course over the last three years through to full A Level) have gone on to pursue a legal career at degree level. Students will study case studies and the latest legal theories keeping content fresh, relevant and engaging. Topics are clearly structured and include: - The English Legal System - The Nature of Law - Criminal Law - Tort Law - Contract Law

What you need to get on

To study in the Sixth Form, students much achieve the general entry requirements which are a minimum of 5 x GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above from a range of subjects including Mathematics and English Language. In addition you will require a Grade 5 in English Language and Grade 5 in English Literature or a humanities subject.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
