What the college says

"Art to Reduce Anxiety and Stress is a relaxing and therapeutic session that explores how creative activities can help promote relaxation, improve wellbeing, and reduce feelings of anxiety and stress. This taster session will explore a range of art media, including acrylic paint, ink, pens, chalks, oil pastels, and watercolour pencils. You will be encouraged to experiment with media and mix media, exploring the colour wheel and colour theory. Alternatively, you can use abstract art like Kandinsky's concentric circles to create a creative expression of your own interpretation of art and its nuance. By the end of the taster, I will be able to: Define primary colours, secondary colours and tertiary colours and create an abstract piece of artwork using mixed media. "
