Graphic Design at A Level will introduce you to the exciting, stimulating and constantly changing world of visual communication. Studying the work and influence of both contemporary and historical practitioners in the field you will be introduced to a wide range of techniques, media and genres to equip and enable you effectively express your ideas. These will then be developed through experimentation and in the production of graphic outcomes, including poster design, packaging, advertising, branding, magazine layout and illustration. You will be introduced to Photoshop digital software and helped to develop your skills within this broad and constantly evolving creative field.

What you need to get on

A minimum of 5 passes (grade 4 or above) at GCSE, including in both English and Maths (not including Level 2 vocational qualifications). Plus a minimum grade 4 in an Art subject at GCSE is required. Exceptions may be made for able students who can supply a portfolio of work at enrolment.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
