What you need to get on

Applicants should possess GCSE English and maths at minimum grade D or equivalent, GCSE Art at minimum grade C or an Art and Design Level 1 qualification or a BTEC Art & Design Certificate. In addition to this you will need a portfolio of your own artwork showing a broad range of creative skills. There is an assigned summer holiday project before the start of the course. Portfolio evidence of your own creative work in art, design or photography is essential.

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
