What the college says

The course assumes students have no previous photography experience. It will begin by introducing students to the basic theory and skill of film photography through a series of practical workshops. Students are expected to provide evidence through sketch books of their developing ideas and work and show how their work fits into a critical and historical context. Students will present personalised responses to a range of topics, printing in both film based and digital photography. All will have the opportunity to work with other practitioners and will be encouraged to create and take part in out of the classroom experiences such as trips, exhibition visits and workshops.
