Candidates will produce practical and critical/contextual work in one or more areas including portraiture, landscape photography, still-life photography, documentary photography, photo-journalism, experimental imagery, photographic installation. What you will do: The course aims to encourage and develop your ability to: • Learn to trust your creative instincts • Perceive, understand and express concepts and feelings • Record from observation and personal experience • Experiment, innovate and use intuition and imagination • Be critical and analytical as well as research and evaluate the work of other artists • Use initiative and have a sense of 'adventure'. Future prospects: • Photojournalism • Freelance photographer • Artist photographer • Forensic photography • Fashion/Portraiture • Illustration • Advertising • Provides you with a portfolio for entry to the Foundation Course at Northampton University and other professional institutes for higher qualifications.
