This course offers learners an opportunity to fully develop and explore the chosen specialism of Fine Art whilst expanding knowledge, understanding and skills in a range of specialist areas. It is designed to encourage learners to develop skills, creativity, imagination and independence based on personal experience. It provides an opportunity for learners to take a personal interest in why Art and Design matters and to be inspired and changed by studying a coherent, worthwhile course of study. Learners will gain experience of the working practices of individuals, organisations and creative and cultural industries.

What you need to get on

To study A level Fine Art, you must have achieved at least a grade 5 in an Art-based subject. You must have a genuine interest in Art and Design and a desire to study fine art in great depth

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
