What the college says

A Level Art & Design is a demanding but rewarding course. It is particularly directed towards producing a portfolio of work to enable students to carry their studies on further to a foundation course and then Art and Design based degrees when they leave college. You will be encouraged to develop your own ideas and starting points during the course and your practical work will be supported by research, drawing and planning in your sketchbook.

What you need to get on

You will need to have a minimum of 5 A* - C grades at GCSE to study this course, and at least a grade B at GCSE in Art or Textiles. You need to have a genuine interest in the subject and be prepared to put in extra time in your study periods.
