What the college says
This course is for anyone who is interested in art and design practice and theory. Students who have not studied Art at GCSE can study this subject providing their drawing skills are adequately developed. These students can hand in a portfolio to be looked at by the department. The course encompasses a whole range of mediums in both 2D and 3D, including drawing, painting, textiles, printmaking, photography, ceramics and sculpture. A minimum of five GCSE’s at level 4 or equivalent from five separate subjects with an average points score of 4.0 or more.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
