What the college says

This broad and dynamic Art, Craft and Design course will encourage you to develop skills, creativity, imagination and independence based on personal experience, taught skills and critical understanding. Workshops will allow you to create responses to a range of areas including Graphic Design, Textiles, Fine Art, 3D Design and Sculpture, securing your confidence for your specialist area. In the second year you will continue in your specialist area setting yourself a brief for your Personal Investigation (coursework) to create a body of work using visual and written methods.

What you need to get on

Standard entry requirements:Maths and English Language at grade 4. Based on Attainment 8 scores we will offer the following pathways: Vocational Pathway (selecting only Vocational Courses): 40, Combination Pathway (selecting a mixture of A Level and Vocational): 45, A Level Pathway (selecting only A Levels): 50. Subject specific requirements: A grade 5 in English Lang or Lit. No previous Art & Design background is required however they will need at least a grade 4 if the student sat GCSE Art.
