Aimed at School Leavers. This exciting one-year course offers students a broad introduction to the main areas of art & design practice. The programme is designed to provide an excellent bridging year for students who wish to improve their art & design qualifications profile and to develop greater confidence in a wide-range of art & design skills. In addition to studio-based work, a number of visits to galleries, exhibitions and locations of interest throughout the course, will inspire creativity and introduce you to the diverse and dynamic world of professional art and design culture.

What you need to get on

Your GCSE results will determine the level you start at: Level 3 - Five or more GCSEs at grade 9-4 including English Language and Maths Level 2 - Four or more GCSEs at grade 9-3 including English Language and Maths Level 1 - Four or more GCSEs at grade 9-2 including English Language and Maths Specific grades are required in certain subjects. One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
