This course is designed to provide students with an interest in art and design an opportunity to explore some of the materials, methods and processes of many art and design activities. Learning will be through practical activities and projects developing projects to build an exciting and dynamic portfolio.
What you need to get on
Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3. A portfolio of work will be required.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
