What the college says

Studying a language will help you to understand more about other cultures and give you a more international perspective on the world. It will help you to survive and enjoy many basic situations abroad or with visitors from other countries. You will learn to: Introduce yourself and others. Find and buy the things you need. Find your way around. Express opinions and preferences. Describe people and place.

What you need to get on

We understand students may not have had the opportunity to study these subjects in school so appropriate skills will be assessed by a member of the music teaching team at interview/enrolment. This course is designed to be accessible to those who do not play a traditional musical instrument. However, some basic music keyboard skills are extremely useful.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A supported starting point if exams have not gone well yet.

Is it open to 16 to 18 year olds?
