AQA A Level Geography
at Tytherington School, Macclesfield · school or sixth form
What the college says
Geography A Level will inspire students to engage critically with real world issues and places, and to apply their geographical knowledge, theory and skills to the world around them. The course will allow students to develop an understanding of human and physical processes such as tectonic hazards and globalisation on a range of different scales. Students will be able to analyse the interactions between people and the environment, appreciating how these underpin some of the key issues facing the world today. Fieldwork forms an important part of the course and is used as a tool in the understanding of the natural environment. In the process students become skilled at planning, undertaking and evaluating their own research.
