This course would be of interest to anyone who enjoys science and would like to take a Level 3 qualification that shows how science is applied in the workplace. This Level 3 course focuses on how a broad spectrum of science is applied and not an in-depth study of the three separate sciences. Unit 1: Principles and Applications of Science Unit 2: Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques Unit 3: Science Investigation skills Unit 11: Genetics and Genetic Engineering In Year 13 students will upgrade their Year 12 work with the possibility of completing extra units. Examples of the topics being covered include; inheritance, cell structure and function, use of waves in communication and practical skills in Science. Some units are examination based. This could lead to an A Level or double A Level equivalent depending on the student's ability to work independently.

What you need to get on

At least 5 4-9 GCSE grades (or A*-C legacy GCSE grades) with a minimum of 5,5 or above in GCSE Combined Science

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
