This is a two-year, full-time course (equivalent to three A levels) which will allow you to apply afterwards for a degree or to enter the sector workforce. The course incorporates a thorough grounding in the latest industry requirements and develops work-ready skills such as teamwork and experience of research, extended writing and meeting deadlines. The focus on the holistic development of your practical, interpersonal and thinking skills enables you to be both work ready and experienced in academic expectations. Our approach is to provide rigour and balance so as to promote your ability to apply your learning immediately in new contexts. If you are aged 16-18, you will be enrolled on a study programme, which will include retaking GCSEs or undertaking Functional Skills in English and maths if you haven't already achieved a grade 4 or above. You will also be required to complete a work experience placement and an employability programme.
What you need to get on
Standard entry to this course requires one positive reference, 90% attendance at your last place of work or study, and five GCSEs at 4 (grade C) or above including double science, English and maths.
